The fumigation recirculation system, installed in the hold of the ship before loading, is a system of flexible perforated and solid pipes, which, with the help of a fan, ensure constant circulation of the gas released by the solid fumigant inside the hold/room.

Global Fumigation Solutions LTD has now fumigated a lot of containers to various destinations all over the world. Over the years of experience we have designed and developed fumigation methods with state of the art fumigation systems to ensure better quality results.
Maize is fumigated with Aluminium phosphide tablets at the rate of 3 tablets/tonne or 2.25 g phosphine/ m3, minimum 5 days (7 to 14 days depending on target pest) as per NSPM 22. Maize intended for Malaysia has to be fumigated with aluminium phosphide formulations at 5 g phosphine/m3 for 5 days as pre-shipment treatment (target pest Trogoderma granarium, Khapra larvae). For all other QPS treatments Methyl bromide at 32 g/m3, 24 hr exposure at ≥21° C is applied.
